What to do ON OR AFTER OCTOBER 2, 2026: 

1.  Activate and begin using your new West Community Credit Union Debit Card

 

Call (866) 985-2273 to activate your new West Community Debit Card.

You can select the same Personal Identification Number (PIN) you’re currently using with your GMFCU Debit Card. 

If any merchant or service provider is storing your GMFCU debit card for subscriptions or recurring purchases, please update them with your new card information. 

 

 

2. Gain digital access to your accounts:

IMPORTANT:  To register for online/mobile banking, you will need your primary account number.  Your account number may be different from what is printed on your checks, so please refer to a recent statement if needed.

No.  Your Member/Account Number remained the same. 

No. Your direct deposit converted during the merger and will post as normal. 

Yes. Your GMFCU checks will continue to clear as normal. You will receive West Community checks upon reorder. 

No. Your ACH transactions will process as normal. Please note: If you set up an ACH using the Transfer Now feature in GMFCU digital banking that transfer will need to be reestablished. Going forward, any new transaction created via ACH will need the West Community Routing Number (281080315).

No. After you enroll in West Community e-Statements, up to 12 months of statement history will become available in October.

Yes. Your deposits are Federally Insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) for a minimum of $250,000. We provide additional coverage of a minimum of $750,000 through Excess Share Insurance (ESI) to all members, in addition to the standard $250,000 of deposit insurance protection from the NCUA.

Yes. There is no change to your credit card at this time. Your credit account is owned by a third-party processor, Elan, and they will issue you a new card upon expiration. 

Yes. West Community is part of the Shared Branch Network. You will continue to have access to CO-OP's 30,000 ATMs and 5,000 Shared Branches.
